Delete from inside the app (fastest)
Open Settings
Tap your profile icon, then Settings.
Go to Account
Select Account from the settings list.
Tap "Delete account"
Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
Confirm
Type DELETE to confirm. Your account and content are queued for permanent removal immediately.
Or request deletion by email
If you can't access the app, email us from the address associated with your account and we'll delete it for you. We'll confirm once it's done, and we may need to verify your identity before proceeding.
This cannot be undone. Deleting your account permanently removes every note, task, voice capture, transcription, photo, project, person record, and setting. Export anything you want to keep first — Settings → Account → Export.
What gets deleted, and when
- Immediately — your account is deactivated and you're signed out on all devices.
- Within 30 days — your account record, all captured content, uploaded media, and derived data are permanently removed from our production systems.
- Within [X DAYS] — encrypted backups containing your data are purged on our standard rotation schedule.
We may retain a minimal record of the deletion request itself, and limited transaction records where required for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes. These contain no captured content.
Cancel your subscription separately
If you have a paid subscription purchased through the App Store, deleting your account does not cancel it. Cancel in your Apple ID settings: open Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions, then select SecondBrain and cancel.
